KEROSENE LICENCE
Kerosene is also supplied to the consumers under the PDS. The total allocation of the State as on date is
2055 KL. There are 19 Agents in the State who are supplying kerosene to the
1436 retailers and 632 hawkers appointed by the Department and scattered all over the State. Presently kerosene is supplied to the consumers @ 2 ltrs. per head for the card without gas and 5 ltrs. per card with gas.
Monthly reports from Agents are received by the Department showing the supply made by them to the retailers/hawkers.
These reports are scrutinized by the Department to ensure that proper supply is received by the retailers/hawkers from the agents.
Issue of Kerosene licence.
Presently, kerosene retail licence is issued by the department. However, licences to hawkers have been completely stopped due to reduction in kerosene quota by the Central Government.
The procedure followed for grant of retail licence is that the applicant has to submit application in the prescribed Proforma along with NOC from the local
body i.e. the Panchayat or Municipality, NOC from Director of Fire Services and the list of the card holders whom he wants to cater with signatures of the card holders thereon.
Upon receipt of the application with required enclosures, the same is forwarded to the concerned Mamlatdar for enquiry and report. On receipt of report, say of the affected retailers is called for and thereafter the application is further processed for grant of kerosene retail licence.

- Kerosene licences are renewed every year by the Department.
